[au meme/crackship] : the spaces between us
sidharth malhotra and parineeti chopra.
Poorvi Sharma is a lot of things - star student, terrific director and far too honest for her own good - but she’s never been a pushover. So when her spring play gets cancelled in favour of the trustee’s son, Avinash’s (Sidharth Malhotra) favourite band playing, she swears never to direct for the university again.
Now, one year later, in an effort to honor an old promise made to her professor, she agrees to step back into the drama society on one condition: a guarantee that things won’t turn out the same way. But she doesn’t expect it in the form of the resident playboy, Avinash Sehgal, walking through the door with a script in hand as the lead in the new play before bossing her around and telling her what to do. She also doesn’t expect the way he seamlessly entwines himself in her life even though they can’t go one second without fighting fire with fire.
In hindsight, though, she really should’ve seen it coming.
It’s not true we are taking different paths. You are my path. You’ve always been my path, and you always will be.
Mythology - Gandharvas and Apsaras
Apsaras were female spirits famed for their beauty and dance, while Gandharvas were spirits renown as musicians and singers. Both performed in King Indra’s court; the unmatched voice of a Gandharva was the perfect complement to the irresistble charm of an apsara. They lived among mortals as well, but they were associated with nature and the devas, and the gods long bore witness to Gandharv songs tracing Apsaras’ steps.
